Capturing Japan Off the Beaten Path

アダム（That Travel Guy）は、日本語の勉強をきっかけに日本に魅了され、2015年に初めて訪日しました。それ以来、10回以上日本を再訪し、日本の奥深い魅力を一層ずつ丁寧に探り続けています。訪れるたびに新たな隠れた名所を発見し、その魅力を発信しています。彼は、あまり知られていない穴場スポットや、まだ十分に注目されていない場所を紹介することを大切にしており、特に自身が「ホーム」と呼ぶ関東エリアにフォーカスしています。オリンピックやワールドカップなどの国際的なスポーツ大会でプロのビデオグラファーとして活躍してきた経験を活かし、東京・京都・大阪といった定番観光地だけでなく、その先にある日本の美しさを映像で伝えることを目指しています。日本語に加え、英語とドイツ語も流暢に話します。

Adam aka That Travel Guy and fell in love with Japan through studying the language and visiting for the first time in 2015. Since then he has come back more than a dozen times, peeling back layer after layer of what Japan truly has to offer, finding more and more hidden gems each time. He tries to showcase underrated and undervisited off the beaten path spots across Japan with a strong focus on the Kanto region which he calls home. With a background as a professional videographer at major sport events (Olympic Games, World Cup etc.), his aim is to capture the most beautiful footage possible to make people want to explore Japan outside of the usual places such as Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. In addition to Japanese, he also speaks English and German fluently!
